About Prepair
Who built this and why — no team page, no stock photos of an office that doesn't exist.
Igor Potapenko — founder
I'm an AQA engineer — nine years in testing, and ten years before that in product and project management. That means I've sat on both sides of the interview table: as the candidate being questioned, and as the person deciding who gets the offer.
I built Prepair because when I was looking for my first job in testing, nothing like it existed. There was no way to hear a real question out loud, answer it under a little pressure, and get told honestly whether the answer actually held up — you either found a willing friend to grill you, or you walked into the real interview cold.
The product reflects that: it practices the part of an interview that's hardest to prepare for on paper — saying the answer out loud, handling a follow-up you didn't expect — not a quiz with model answers to memorize. Scoring is meant to be honest rather than encouraging, because a generous score before the real interview doesn't help anyone.
I write most of the guides on the blog myself, and I've written about interview standards and hiring for the QA community on DOU.ua — my author profile is here.
